Creating memories that last forever

Efehi + Kathleen Ogbebor | July 17, 2010

Check out the lovely photos from Efehi and Kathleen Ogbebor’s wedding. The wedding was on a hot July summer day in Chino Hills and the ceremony took place at St. Paul’s. It seemed like every picture had someone holding a fan, that’s how it was.

With shots like these, it made me think about my special day. I’m not getting sentimental, I’m just sayin…

More shots of St. Paul’s Church in Chino Hills.

These guys are quite the party crowd. Can you imagine how crazy Vegas was two weeks ago when they went for Efehi’s bachelor party. Thanks for the invite, fellas.

Efehi & Kathleen Ogbebor’s Wedding Trailer | July 17, 2010

UDPATED: July 18, 2010.

I didn’t think I was going to pull off a same day edit but I did it. The trailer wasn’t complete without some scenes from the wedding so check out the updated version.

When Efehi Ogbebor first approached me for a wedding trailer, he wanted something upbeat, a video trailer that wasn’t too romantic, and he wanted a video that also paid homage to the late Michael Jackson. We came up with the concept of trying to re-enact Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” and the rest was HIStory.

I met Efehi in Superstar Basketball and he’s quite the character on the basketball court. It wasn’t a surprise to see him bust out with the Michael Jackson dance moves and we had a great time filming and editing his trailer.

The shoot was at Cal Poly Pomona, the location where the couple met in 2004. Old Town Pomona was the scene for Efehi’s wild dancing but on July 17, 2010, Royal Oaks will be the scene for some more of Efehi’s wild dancing.

Congratulations to both Efehi & Kathleen Ogbebor, I had a blast filming the trailer and now for the wedding…

Alice + Daniel Swift’s Wedding | June 26, 2010

Our good friend, Alice Wu, called us at the very last minute for a wedding video and we didn’t hesitate to help her out. She’s been one of the few friends who would drop what she’s doing just to lend us a helping hand. The favor was returned and the video is on the way. Additionally, she wanted photography services as well until she finally convinced some of her other friends to do it for her (for free). Well, here’s a few samples of what Bliss can do you for you…

Here’s a shot of Mr. and Mrs. Swft. We told Daniel to look at the bouquet but he couldn’t keep his eyes of his lovely bride. It was like this all night as Mr. Swift swiftly moved in for kisses at every given opportunity.

One thing we know about the couple is they love cakes. They owned a bake shop in Pomona and that’s one thing they’ll talk passionately about (for hours). Alice Wu can ramble about just about anything but get her to talk about cakes and she’ll talk for days.

Meet Daniel. The icebreaker with him was talking about… you gueessed it, cakes. He told us about this red velvet cake that one of his friends made as a gfit. No words can describe how good that red velvet cake tasted after dinner. Only if there were ice cream…

Here’s a shot of the lovely bride, Mrs. Alice Swift. She looks sweet now but get her on the basketball court, where we met her playing ball years ago, and she’ll cut you to pieces. Hopefully she returns for another season of Superstar Basketball,www.superstarbasketball.org. Shameless plug, but I had to do it. =D

I was lucky enough to get this shot of the couple during their wedding vows. I wasn’t supposed to be there and in most weddings, the priest won’t allow me to be there. This is my favorite shot so far. Congratulations once again, Mr. and Mrs. Swift.

Bridal Shoot – 4.16.10

Wedding season is almost in full swing. A lot of you are asking if we have any samples from wedding shoots and the answer is YES!

Here’s a few samples of our bridal shoot from last Friday. We have a quick turnaround in our processing and we can have your pictures up as early as the next day. Check out some of the pictures we took on Friday afternoon, uploaded to our server on Saturday.

One of my favorite shots of the couple. =)

This reminds me of Sleepy Hollow for some reason.

Sometimes, the best shots are the ones that require no touch-ups. This is a candid shot and I was lucky enough to capture that one perfect moment.

B3ST – Volleyball

Two different shoots on the same day?
Yes, it was a long day of shooting and this was the first video we shot.

Personally, I like their drills more than their stretch-out routines. Can’t wait for next week to show those edits.

B3ST – Softball

We filmed a training video for B3ST’s Softball Division and we’re going to start off the series with their “Dynamic Warm Up Drills”. The girls from Bishop Amat are 3-1 in league play and as you can see, they take their stretches very seriously.

It’s refreshing to film high school kids and it takes me back to a decade ago when I was part of a uhhh I don’t want to say Badminton team so let’s just say basketball team. Stretching is as important as the drills especially when you get older.

Superstar Basketball starts in a week. Needless to say, I’ll be doing “The World’s Greatest Stretch” routine on the sidelines just to see how people react. This should be fun.

We’ve had several posts on Strikers All Stars and a lot of readers are still wondering who they are.

We had the honor of having Strikers All Stars perform on Easter Sunday right before tip-off of the  Women’s Division Championship Game. Superstar Basketball hosted the event and Lady Air won a historic 4th straight Championship.

Check out the Strikers All Stars and www.superstarbasketball.org for Superstar Basketball’s website.

Sweet 16 Video – Brianna Alcocer

Comments(11)

Just uploaded a Sweet 16 video featuring Brianna Alcocer. It was a last minute sort of booking and it was one of the first events I did with the new equipment. Needless to say, there were a lot of things I learned that night and as a videographer, I’m one of my biggest critics.

The Canon 7D is definitely capable of shooting in low light situations. Shooting video with practically no light would be a challenge with other cameras but the Canon 7D rose to the occassion. One FML moment, I brought my tripod but forgot the piece that went between the tripod and the camera. Evidently, my camera work was shaky and needless to say, when you’re packing for an event, PACK EARLY so you don’t forget anything!

This was a very special low price and included was a video shoot of the event including a photo montage that was shown at dinner time. Honestly, I expected a lot more dancing from young kids. At that age, I was getting down and the birthday parties I went to had a lot of break dancing, slow dancing, freak dancing, just a lot of dancing in general. It’s a great thing I was shooting the video or else I would have gladly busted a move or two on the dance floor.

B3ST – Football Camp

Comments(10)

It’s almost Spring Break and you know what that means… football season?

Not quite but B3ST hosted a special football camp for those who are interested in tuning up their skills for football. I know, I know, it’s months away from season but if you want to be the best, you gotta put in some hard work. Here’s some pictures from camp.

Mush!! Mush!! Mush!!

Prospect was named Athlete of the Month for B3ST’s website. He must be good, or in a hurry to go to the bathroom!

Surprise!! Sorry Webster, this is no birthday cake!

Strikers All Stars

Comments(13)

Remember that one post from a couple of weeks back about the Strikers All Stars and their website? It took us a while to get the whole group for this photoshoot but the project is finally rolling.

We had the honor of shooting Strikers All Stars last Friday in Hollywood and they were great to work with. They’re doing a lot of big things and soon, you’ll get the latest info on their website.  Check out some of the images from our shoot.

I had my assistant take these pictures because umm… I’m not used to taking pictures of shirtless guys.

Reminds me of a 90’s R&B group. Bell, Biv Devoe… eat your hearts out!

Their group poses were on point and their individual poses were awesome as well. Can’t wait to post them on their site.
